The Trekking in Morocco

Please , come to discover the magnificent landscapes and santiers of Morocco. For the passionate persons of the drive(ride) and the trekking, you will appreciate the whole days of walking at the top Atlas with bivouac in villages or night in refuges. During your daily strolls, you will appreciate the contact with the population and the wealth of our mountains. Morocco is for trekkeurs a real miracle. A summary of what we dream about all. Landscapes, reception, nature and culture gave themselves meeting in this small end of Africa just a step from here. Please , judge rather: a giant, the Atlas, in the dimension of the Alps, an inexhaustible receptacle of life and beauty. Small unusual massifs in watchtower on Sahara. Sands on bottom of snow. Mythical oueds and their vibrating palm plantations. An impertinent coast in front of the Atlantic Ocean: thousands of kilometres without ever finding the same landscapes! Morocco, it is also casual caravans of mules and camels, unforgettable bivouacs near stony forests and near fragrant cédraies. The subtle and unctuous gold of the tea in the mint which gives rhythm to the stages. This country is a crossroads of colours, musics and savours: those of the peoples and the Berber traditions...

The major trump card of Morocco is to gather(reunite) on a single territory all the spaces, all the atmospheres, all the geographic, aesthetic and human qualities. One concentrated by happiness nomad blows out on the six big regions that the country offers to trekkeurs .

High Atlas

The Atlas is a monument in the Moroccan geography as well by its proportions as by its contrasts. Powerful wrinkle streaking all the country of the southwest in the northeast, the High Atlas is one of the big mountains of the world, the jewel of the Moroccan pedestrian tourism. Colossal proportions (among 40 and 120 km wide and some 800 km long), palette of landscapes in the infinity, this impressive chain(channel) counts not less than 12 summits exceeding the 4 000 m and 400 over 3 000 m. In this world to part, the natural variety has an equal only the multitude of colours.

Anti-Atlas

Parallel to the Atlantic banks, Anti-Atlas of Agadir rises about 2 000 m and proposes surprising landscapes, vestiges of former(ancient) granitic reliefs. The peculiarity of the massif consists of chaos of piled "balls", covered with an original vegetation: cactus, amandiers, pink laurels and palm trees. Villages in " nests of wasps " collect their cubes of colours ochre against granite blocks, between sweetness of orchards and sourness of mountains.

Average Atlas

Inequitably underestimated, the Average Atlas draws a plant picture(table) in the north extremity of the Moroccan giant with its carpet of cedars and holm oaks. Ifrane's town acts even as local curiosity in summer because of his(its, her) sweet temperatures (a favour of the sky). Somewhere else, the forest is next(goes alongside) to the high sorry trays and the cultures of barley adapt perfectly of the nearness of lakes. The pink laurels form one guard of honour for the river Oum er Rbia (the mother of the spring) which originates to 40 sources.

The big South

In the South of the Atlas extends, on more than 800 km, the Atlantic Ocean to the Hmada du Guir, the Big South, immense region which announces Sahara. The desert settles down there gently, little present everything against mountains, but taking its real dimension in the borders of the South. From Ouarzazate, beyond the last foothills of Anti-Atlas, begins the big desert tray(plateau) of the Hamada du Drâa followed by the ribbon of palm plantations of the oued of the same name. More in the East, begin Tazzarine's Moroccan Tassilis up to the wide furrow of Tafilat and big dunes of the erg Chebbi.

Atlantic rib(coast)

Between Agadir and Essaouira, the Moroccan Atlantic Rib(coast), pressed on the foothills of the western Atlas, remains very wild and almost inaccessible. Circuses, creeks, ripped cliffs, immense beaches and dunaires cords stand out themselves as the wealth of this uneven(injured) coast. The tiny Berber villages hide in the heart of handles or on the rocky trays strewed with arganiers.

Jebels

Delicious mixture of colours and atmospheres, Jebels of Morocco reveals their originality. Just a step from Toubkal, the djebel Sirwa forms a small massif differentiated well in the speeds(looks) of former(ancient) volcano. The projections of tortured black cliffs contrast, in spring, with the big areas grassy and decorated with flowers by meadows. In the South of the High central Atlas, dominating the oases of Drâa and Dadès, if pupil le Sarho. Pre-Saharan little raised(brought up) massif (highlight in 2 712 m), it(he) forms the last mountainous barrier before the big desert areas of the Moroccan South. Flooded with light intimate spaces.
