Imagine
an ancient kasbah proudly dominating a graceful seaside resort. Imagine 18 kilometers
of white sandy beaches flooded with sunlight. This is Saidia, a glorious town
from where you can take a number of fascinating excursions. To the West, birds
in their thousands, living in the superb natural ornithological reserve at the
mouth of the Moulouya river. To the south East stands Oujda. Be sure to take
the road through the Béni-Snassen mountains so as not to miss the breathtaking
Zegzel gorges and their sheer cliffs hollowed out with grottos. Do not forget
to visit the peaceful Lalla-Meriem park in which stands a delightful little
ethnographic museum (Oujda).
