The genesis of Fulgura is a concept bus presented in Geneva in 2002, a half-compartment with the rather wise lines intended to test the market and carried out on the basis of Lamborghini Diablo. The answer of the potential customers being proven positive, Abdeslam Laraki decided to create an entirely new car.

Drawn by itself, Fulgurated it gained in originality compared to the concept bus. The car is longer and broader, the design is more spectacular. It is equipped with doors opening in élytres and rear view mirrors in the shape of wings. Imposing and vertical, the poop receives ventilation grilles whose reasons take as a starting point those of the moucharabiehs. Laid out vertically and rejected on the sides, the four exits of exhaust also take part in the esthetics of the back face.

With the exception of the power unit of Mercedes origin, all the parts (the tubular aluminium frame like the travelling trains and the suspensions) are designed and carried out in the Laraki workshops in Casablanca, where the car will be manufactured. Including the carbon fibre body.

Laraki Fulgura is motorized by V12 Mercedes 36 valves of 6,2 liters which was prepared in collaboration with Brabus. Equipped with two turbocompressors, it delivers the power of 660 CH and the incredible couple of 1300 Nm with 1800 rpm! Extremely light with its 1250 kilos announced in spite of its imposing mechanics, Laraki Fulgura profits from weight-power an extraordinary ratio of 1,89 kilo per horse... Such a figure is worth with the racing car of the exceptional performances, a speed of 350 km/h and the 0 to 100 km/h run in 3,4 seconds. The transmission is entrusted to a sequential gear box to six reports/ratios. The suspensions are of type will multibras and the magnesium wheels of 19 inches are fitted tires of 235/35 with before and 335/25 with the back.

Contrasting with the audacity of the external style, the cockpit appears sober and traditional (except the original shape of the pommel of the gear shift lever). With noble materials, saddlery leather, will alcantara and aluminium brushed for the déco, are added for the wellbeing of the passengers a power-assisted steering, air-conditioning and a system audio. A supercar with middle-class comfort.

Fulgura presented at World is a preproduction. The final version will be exposed in March 2005 in Geneva where its marketing will start at the cost of 300 000?. The car will be built with 99 specimens numbered over one four years period. A second models will shoulder it soon, of a more accessible price (about 150 000?).
